The base to tip length straight out of the box is 50 3/4 inches. It's a solid piece of equipment that performs well and can lift most anything. However, it is a bit on the heavy side, so it takes up a lot of space. It's easy to use and comes in handy when in a jam. It is important to note that it is advisable to lubricate the jack before and after use with either machine oil or lithium grease to help prevent rust. Also, it should be mounted on a sturdy, steel bumper as it is not designed to work well with an OEM plastic bumper.
