The Sony CDP-CX355 is a mega-storage CD changer that can hold up to 300 CDs. The unit requires an amplifier and speakers to hear the CDs. The product dimensions are approximately 17 1/4" wide x 20" deep x 7 1/2" high. The unit is designed with a carousel drive motor that spins the carousel. The hum is an indication that the belt is either worn or has fell off, which requires a new belt to be installed. Customers have reported positive experiences with the Sony CDP-CX355 in terms of the convenience of having all their CDs in one place, random and programmed play and ease of use with the remote control. However, other customers had issues with the plastic spindle being worn, making the CD player try to put the CD in the wrong slot or the mechanics being noisy.
