The Behringer X1204USB 12-input, 2/2 bus mixer has received generally positive feedback from the users. After 7 years of use, the overall functionality of the board remains intact, despite some minor issues like crackling faders and mute/unmute buttons. The USB interface is Considered quite useful for conference calls. However, there's a warning against installing the official Behringer drivers for Windows 7, as it led to system instability and numerous issues, and the default Windows drivers worked perfectly fine. In terms of the unit itself, some drawbacks include the limitations of the USB interface, as it lacks controls for volume, EQ, and FX/Aux, and there's no support for 96kHz on the USB bus, which is seen as a downside for a Prosumer device. Additionally, the USB output can be problematic when mixing it with the main mix output. On the positive side, the preamps are better than expected and offer plenty of headroom, even for naturally quiet microphones.
