This Logan Graphics Compact Classic Mat Cutter does a good job for the price point. There is a bit of a learning curve to get the best results, but with practice, it slices through 4 ply museum board and 1/8" foam core board very well. However, it may not work as effectively with thicker foam material. Some reviewers complained of receiving faulty products and had to fix them manually. This product is an excellent choice for smaller mats, but if larger mats are what you're making, a bigger, more costly model may be required.
