If you're looking for a high-quality Cat8 cable, Linkup's offering is definitely one to Consider. The cable itself is sturdy with a good solid build quality. The RJ45 connectors are properly fitted and assembled. The fluke test summary that comes packaged with the cable further increases the customer's confidence in the product. The cable is easy to handle and maneuverable, and the black jacket Cat8 version will be available soon. However, users should take note that the cable is not waterproof or CMX outdoor rated, and it's meant for indoor use or connecting switch to PC. Regardless of the Cat8 version you choose (22AWG vs. 26AWG), they have both been tested to run at 25G under Fluke DSX-8000 network analyzer. The only technical difference between the two is that the 22AWG version should be chosen if your system requires very small resistance between the ground wire and plug. While Linkup's Cat8 cable is more expensive than other cable options, you do get what you pay for. The internet connectivity is more stable and customers feel confident that their data transmission integrity is secure. Some customers had issues with the connector size being slightly smaller than they should be, which leads to loose connections. However, these issues occurred only on TPLink and Netgear hardware. The thicker and heavier cable can be supported against the wall using a cable tack to prevent any stress on the Ethernet port. Ultimately, while it's probably an unreasonable upgrade for those currently using good quality tested Cat6 or Cat6a cables, it's a reasonable upgrade for those with high-end systems that require true signal isolation environment.
