The Pro-Ject Leather It Platter Mat is a high-quality mat made of veg-tanned split cow leather, with a thickness of 2mm. It fits a standard LP platter of about 11.8-12". The mat reduces static and helps to improve overall sound quality by tightening up the bass and midrange. It is well-made and looks nice, but it is pricey. The mat has to be paired with a Mazzolini record clamp for better results. Some customers have had issues with the mat being out of round, but overall, it works well for reducing static and significantly reducing record sticking. It doesn't work well with Pro-Ject vertical turntables.
