The reception for this product is mixed. Some customers feel that the book is difficult to follow, with pages printed cheaply in black and white. Others, who are more experienced in Python and OOP, see this book as an opportunity to take their programming knowledge to the next level. The content is quite dry, and it would require a high level of concentration to follow the exercises and sample code. Some readers found the examples explained in the book abstract, and therefore, hard to follow. However, others found it beneficial to have a book covering modern data types, like NamedTuple, TypedDict, tuples, etc., but found the examples too complicated. The book is mostly praised by the ones who have learned from other books by the same author. They praised the author's tips on writing nice tests, the interesting chapters on Concurrency and Design Patterns, and how the book teaches the differences between OOP and functional programming. The book is not recommended for beginners in Python programming, needing a book with more simplistic instructions.
