The 3/8" burner pipe has holes drilled in them to dispense the gas in the fireplace easily. The end of one side of the pipe comes with a plug to keep the gas from flowing all the way through the pipe, instead forces the gas to go through the holes for better efficiency. However, some customers had issues with the quality of the material and reported that the pipe started sagging after a few weeks of use.
