Mortal Kombat: Legacy (DVD) offers a unique take on the classic franchise with a gritty, grounded storytelling approach by Kevin Tancharoen. This DVD compiles Season One and showcases captivating character arcs, especially for Jax, Sonya, and Kano, who were well fleshed out, bringing depth to their stories. Many fans praised the strong fight choreography and engaging special features, adding to the overall experience. The series ignited excitement among viewers, especially fans of the Mortal Kombat mythos, who appreciated the exploration of character origins and themes. The only downside mentioned was the length, leading viewers to crave more content after finishing the season.
