France Editorial Review
**** The book "Nine" tells the harrowing and inspiring true story of nine courageous women who escaped from a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Customers have expressed deep emotional responses to the narrative, highlighting the powerful bond of friendship among the women which was pivotal for their survival amidst the atrocities they faced. Readers have described the book as "mesmerizing" and deeply moving, emphasizing its ability to evoke strong emotions, including tears. While the subject matter involves significant trauma and hardship, many reviewers noted the importance of telling these stories to ensure that the history and suffering of those in Nazi camps are never forgotten. The experiences of the women range from psychological trauma to their struggles with reintegrating into society after the war, serving as a poignant reminder of the long-lasting impacts of such experiences. However, not all feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Some readers found fault with the writing style, describing it as repetitive and at times difficult to maintain interest in. Despite this criticism, the overall reception has been positive, with many affirming that the story's significance and the resilience of its characters outweigh the writing flaws. Some even suggested that the narrative would lend itself well to a visual adaptation, such as a Netflix film. Overall, "Nine" resonates as an essential read for anyone interested in history, particularly WWII, and serves as a powerful testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable challenges. **
