The Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream is a great product for etching designs into glass. It is a reductive process that chemically removes or alters the glass itself. The cream is easy to apply using a cotton swab and can be left on for 3 to 5 minutes for best results. The etch will remain after wet and is permanent. One bottle of cream can go a long way on projects. The active ingredient is Ammonium/Sodium bifluorides, so caution is advised to avoid contact with skin and eyes. It is not recommended for use on mylar and can melt a plastic stencil over time. While some people do not wear a mask while using this product, it is recommended to take safety precautions including wearing rubber gloves, safety glasses, and working in a well-ventilated area.
