Horror Editorial Review
"Orphan First Kill" is a prequel to the original movie that follows Esther's backstory. Opinions on the film are mixed, with some viewers enjoying it as a standalone movie and others feeling disappointed in comparison to the original. One reviewer appreciated the film as a good prequel, while another viewer found it lacking in comparison to the first movie. They were let down by what they perceived as weak acting, especially from lead actress Julia Stiles, and a predictable ending. The inclusion of occasional humor was dismissed as cheesy. However, another viewer praised the unexpected twists and turns in the film, commending the script, actors, and direction for keeping them engaged. Overall, it seems that opinions on "Orphan First Kill" vary depending on individual preferences and expectations. **
