Neon Neon Format: Audio CD Editorial Review
Praxis Makes Perfect, the sophomore album by Gruff Rhys and Boom Bip as Neon Neon, showcases a unique blend of disco-steeped electro-rock, focusing on intriguing themes like the life of Italian publisher Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. This album, while carrying forward the essence of their previous work, is noted for its sophisticated sound with a distinct lack of guitar compared to its predecessor, Stainless Style. Some reviewers praised the atmospheric and cohesive listening experience, especially with the absence of rap guests creating a smoother presentation, even if a few tracks might feel inconsequential. Overall, it's a solid follow-up that maintains the infectious synth sound reminiscent of the early '80s, making it a noteworthy addition to any Indie music lover's collection.
