The LEWITT LCT 540 Subzero Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone & Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface is a great combo for recording, songwriting, streaming, and podcasting. In terms of gain and phantom power, a Focusrite preamp is sufficient. You could use this microphone with a Scarlett and a dbx compressor without issue. To connect the microphone to your PC for recording voice, you require an interface device for phantom power supply. The mic is a neutral one with a brighter tone can be EQ'd as you like. It is quieter than many other mics in quiet studio settings. You can adjust the db pad settings or reduce the recording volume if the red light is not coming on when it is clipping.
