Additionally, it is regarded as expensive and limited to the bandwidth of a single eSATA bus per expansion box. Overall, while the Synology 5bay Expansion Unit DX517 Diskless is an ideal way to expand your NAS storage, it can be pricey, and the HDD temperature may run high.
