Other household items are required for the experiments, but most of them can be found at home. The microscope requires three watch-like batteries. The kit comes in dark pink. Most of the reviews indicate that it is a great product and daughters love it. However, some customers complained that there are not enough experiments and that it is not worth the money. It is recommended as a great gift for little girls.
