Musicals Editorial Review
Oliver! on Blu-ray is a nostalgic gift for the whole family. Although the film quality is good for the time period, the movie has not been modified or digitally altered, allowing viewers to fully appreciate the vintage feel of the movie. The sound and picture quality may not be up to current standards, but this movie is a classic that should not be judged by modern standards. Instead, viewers should focus on the story, filming techniques, costumes, furnishings, architecture, dialog, and the historical social significance of the film. The music is haunting and delightful, while Fagan is played with great artistry. However, some customers have received copies with random order in the contents, poor sound, and picture quality.
