Yas Format: Tankobon Softcover Figure Drawing Editorial Review
The product, which is a drawing guide aimed primarily at beginners to intermediate artists, has garnered a predominantly positive reception from customers. Reviewers have praised the book for its clear and thorough explanations, making it accessible for those with little to no experience in drawing. The layout and presentation have also been highlighted as satisfying, providing a visually appealing learning experience. Many users have appreciated the inclusion of color charts, which aid in practical applications of the techniques presented, allowing readers to replicate colors accurately. The book focuses on the nuances of painting realistically, specifically addressing aspects of shading and color application. Users have noted that while the book does not delve deeply into the theory behind the techniques, it serves as a practical guide for improving drawing skills. However, some critiques have emerged regarding the author's style, with a few referring to it as not photorealistic enough and pointing out that the book's focus on traditional painting may mislead those seeking a digital painting approach. Additionally, although the explanations of processes are present, they can be too brief, leaving beginners to struggle with application without a solid foundation of the underlying principles. In summary, this book is an excellent resource for budding artists looking to enhance their skills, although its limitations may make it less suitable for complete novices lacking foundational knowledge. **
