I thought having a built in preamp was so you could use it with a set of powered speakers without having to have a separate amp/system to plug into?
jawab: I have a pair of Sony tower speakers with built in amplifier connected to the denon deck and it works perfectly. Merry Christmas. -

Is it possible to remove the plastic cover and, if so, what's the new height without the cover?
jawab: Yes, around 8.5 cm. -

jawab: Yes, of course it needs external speakers and an external amplifier. -

jawab: It comes with a transparent cover. -

Will I need to buy a separate amplifier as well as speakers for this item?
jawab: Yes, you will need both an amplifier and speakers. The deck easily connects to an amp using audio phone leads. -

How many volts does it need, and how many milliamperes does it need?
jawab: I only know that it needs 230 volts with a UK plug. -

Can this be played through a Sonos system?
jawab: Yes, it can. Only with the Sonos Play:5, though. But once you connect it directly to that speaker, it obviously can be played through the rest of your Sonos system. I’ve found I needed to use a separate pre-amp with it though, as without it, it was too quiet. (I have been using this turntable with my Sonos Play:5 and the rest of the system for one year now). -

jawab: If the Denon 39 is a home audio unit, yes. Plug it in at the back of your unit using the red and white wires. -

Can I connect this to my Bose Lifestyle cinema surround system bought in 2003?
jawab: I honestly don't know. I have connected mine to a Pioneer amp purchased in 2010 via the aux socket.
